Delivering Social Change Through Sport

This conference was organised on behalf of Sport England as part of their commitment to promote the power of sport within society.

The conference had a unique speed workshop delivery method, which gave people only 20 minutes per workshop, before a whistle sounded and they moved on to the next. This proved very popular with the delegates as they got the main points of the workshop, then had time to develop discussions during an extended networking lunch.

Sport & Social Housing

This conference was organised for Sport England as an opportunity to join up the working of two key sectors in the North West.

Sport has a key role to play in any community, which social landlords are keenly aware of, and therefore many sports development teams are already engaging with these communities, but often independently of interventions delivered by social housing providers.

The conference gave an opportunity for both sectors to get a clearer understanding of the others' aims, examples of interventions, examples of existing partnerships and networking opportunities to establish new relationships.
